The Ghost Village

The town of Kayakoy used to be a Greek Orthodox Christian town that lived in total harmony with the Turkish until the early 20th century. Due to several religious issues and the World War, the town was totally depopulated and was left abandoned. The residents of Kayakoy either moved to Greece or died in Ottoman labor battalions.
